Baptism of infants and children under the age of seven is generally celebrated during Mass on the first Sunday of each month, and outside of Mass at 12:15 p.m. on the third Sunday of the month. During the season of Lent, baptisms are conducted only in case of emergency.
The parents must provide assurance that they will bring the child up in the Catholic faith. The parents’ active practice of the faith is generally the evidence of this commitment.
Parents must attend a baptismal preparation session before the baptism of their first child. This session is also recommended for godparents. Baptismal preparation sessions are held on the second Sunday of each month (except during the season of Lent) at 10:00 a.m. in the Garden Level. Call the parish office at 281-5105 to register for these sessions and to schedule your child’s baptism.
