As part of Immaculate Conception Parish’s Full Stewardship of Spirituality, we hold our annual parish “Stewardship of Charity” event.
Each year we designate 2% of our previous year’s collections to be given to various charitable organizations that serve the poor with work that is consistent with Catholic moral teaching. We would like to help as many organizations as possible, so no one charity will receive more than 10% of the fund and any group already regularly supported by our parish (ex: envelopes or special events) will not be eligible. Parish members will have the opportunity to nominate their favorite charity
This is an opportunity for parishioners to get involved in parish gift-giving by nominating their favorite charities to receive a donation. One nomination per family may be submitted electronically on the parish website, or on paper forms that will be provided in the gathering space and parish office. Please be prepared to submit the name, mailing address, email, and phone number of the charity you are nominating by 4:00 pm, Feb. 6th, for consideration. Any charity that was nominated in previous years may be nominated again
If you do not have a charity to nominate, you can still participate in the voting process which will help decide where the parish funds will be allocated. This is an excellent opportunity for all ages to get involved in actively giving. Gather your family members and decide where your 10 votes will go. This voting will also take place on the parish website or with paper forms available in church and the parish office for those who prefer paper.
Help make a difference in the lives of those in need!
As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace. 1 Peter 4:10
